About Sitebloomhub
We grew out of watching Penang households juggle too many manufacturer apps — and decided the missing piece was careful observation, not another gadget.
Origin
Sitebloomhub began in George Town after years of informal favours: neighbours asking why the living-room scene never fired when guests arrived, or why the air-conditioning schedule fought the ceiling fan app. The pattern was consistent — the hardware worked, but nobody had time to read how the household actually used the apps.
What we believe
App analytics for smart home app usage should stay grounded in daily life. Logs and screens matter only when they explain a tired parent dismissing alerts at midnight, or a caretaker resetting a lock code every Sunday. We favour plain language over charts that impress but do not change a Tuesday evening.
How we work
- We observe first, recommend second.
- We keep admin credentials in your hands; we never take permanent access.
- We write for the people who live in the home, not for a product roadmap audience.
- We stay local enough to visit when that reveals more than a screen share.
Community
Much of our work sits within Penang’s mix of heritage shophouses, high-rises, and terrace homes — each with different wiring histories and app stacks. When travel outside the island makes sense, we say so up front and price travel honestly.
